This table is generated from hoopR’s own nba_*() wrappers for stats.nba.com: each row is an R argument that at least one wrapper sends to the API, with the query parameter it becomes (api_name), the values the API accepts and the function default. The functions column lists the nba_*() calls that accept the parameter, so you can filter it to see every function that takes, say, per_mode. valid_values is the union across those functions’ endpoints, so spellings that only some endpoints accept (Pre Season and Preseason, for example) both appear; an empty value list means none is known. The same table ships with the package as hoopR::parameter_descriptions.
